Newly re-elected Mayor Greg Fischer will give his state of the state this week.  He joins Tony with a preview and shares his thoughts on the partial government shutdown.

Entering into Day 25 of the partial government shutdown.  Is the plan Lindsey Graham suggested being taken seriously? What has been the reaction to his negotiation idea?  NBC News Radio Correspondent Michael Bower is following and joins Tony to break it down.

It may take you twice (or even three times) as long to get through security, but the TSA based in one of the country’s busiest airports seemingly wants to make the experience a little less painful.  Multiple passengers at John F. Kennedy International airport in New York have tweeted hearing the likes of Kanye West (uncensored!) and Beastie Boys among others playing on the airport’s sound system at various terminals.   ABC's Cheri Preston has the story with Tony.

The majority of Americans (55%) do not think their personal financial situation will be better in 2019 than it was in 2018, according to a new Bankrate.com report. 12% think their financial situation will be worse, 44% think it will stay the same and 44% think it will get better.  Bankrate.com’s senior economic analyst Mark Hamrick breaks down the numbers with Tony.

Despite the headlines over the weekend about President Trump and Russia, there doesn't seem to be any "there, there."  Why is there such a pre-occupation with finding a nefarious connection between Trump and Putin?   As long as the president doesn't explain specifically and to everyone's satisfaction why he keeps giving Putin a pass, the press isn't likely to stop.  ABC News Political Analyst Alex Castellanos joins Tony with a look.
