Day 18 of the shutdown and there is no end in sight.  Were there any steps taken yesterday to close the gap between Democrats and Republicans? What has reaction been to the CNN story about TSA agents involved in a “sick-out”?  What are some of the details of the offer Vice President Mike Pence brought from Camp David to negotiators? NBC News Radio Correspondent Michael Bower has the latest with Tony. 

If it's January it’s time for The Consumer Electronics Show where the world’s biggest tech companies, startups -- and even some celebrities -- gather in Las Vegas for a week of high-tech revelations. On display will be every gadget you could ever imagine:  the newest virtual reality devices, more complex robots, AI-powered appliances and wireless car charging will be among the multitudes that tech companies will introduce to the world.  The future is  on display in Sin City all of this week and ABC News' Alex Stone is there and joins Tony on Kentuckiana's Morning News.

On Monday, Amazon eclipsed Microsoft as the most valuable publicly traded company in the U.S. as the stock market continued to reshuffle corporate America's pecking order.  But Microsoft isn’t rolling over just yet: it announced that it is partnering with Kroger, the grocery store chain, to take on Amazon.  ABC's Cheri Preston joins Tony with a breakdown.
