Jefferson County Board of Education Votes To Follow CDC Guidance on Masking

(Louisville, KY) - Jefferson County Public Schools is dropping its universal mask mandate.

The board of education has voted to make masks optional when community spread of COVID-19 is medium or low.

JCPS students will still be required to wear masks Wednesday with district officials saying they need time to implement the policy.  The district will re-evaluate the policy at the end of June.
