(Lexington, KY) - A University of Kentucky football player is working with lawmakers to make changes in the commonwealth.
Wan'dale Robinson met with several legislators Thursday to discuss his story about growing up while his father Dale was incarcerated in federal prison.
Dale is now a business owner and attended the meeting, saying kids of incarcerated parents can go down the wrong path without proper mentoring, which their foundation hopes to provide.
The pair suggested a bill of rights for the children of incarcerated parents and funding for their programs, with talks expected to continue.
