(Louisville, KY) - The Louder Than Life music festival is getting underway Thursday.

The four-day event is being held at the Highland Festival Grounds of the Kentucky Expo Center.  Some of the bands include Metallica, Korn, Jane's Addiction, Disturbed and Judas Priest.

Anyone attending must show proof of being vaccinated against COVID-19 or test negative within 72 hours of entering the campgrounds or festival grounds.

Louisville drivers may be impacted by road closures for the Louder Than Life rock music festival.

The closures started last Monday with Phillips Lane from Monarch Drive to Freedom Way.  The I-264 east, west, north, and southbound ramps to Phillips Lane will close between 10 a.m. to 1 a.m. daily through Sunday.  Dozens of other streets are restricted.
