(Louisville, KY) - A Jefferson County Public Schools committee is voting against recommending changes to the upcoming school year.
The idea of adding additional days to the 2021-2022 school year had been considered to help students who fell behind academically while learning virtually due to the coronavirus outbreak.
The JCPS Calendar Committee unanimously rejected revisions to next year's school calendar on Monday.
Many of those who responded to a Jefferson County Teacher's Association survey pushed back against learning loss because all students missed the same academic time.
