(Frankfort, KY)Ā -Ā Governor Andy Beshear is taking legal action after the Kentucky Senate overrode his veto of a bill that would limit his executive powers.
The governor announced Tuesday that he is filing a lawsuit to challenge the General Assembly's action vote to limit emergency orders to 30 days unless lawmakers approve an extension.Ā
Beshear said legislators "attempted to surrender to COVID-19 and accept the casualties" and that he would fight to protect Kentuckians.
