(Frankfort, KY) - Many Kentuckians continue to push for the opening of pools by Memorial Day weekend.
A petition urging Governor Andy Beshear to allow pools to open as others businesses emerge from coronavirus restrictions has gathered nearly 15,000 signatures in one week.
Some research suggests that heat and sunlight may kill COVID-19. The CDC's website says proper operation and maintenance of pools should "inactivate" the virus in the water.
