Vanderbilt Wins College World Series Championship

College World Series - Michigan v Vanderbilt - Game Three

(Omaha, NE) - Vanderbilt defeated Michigan 8-2 to win the College World Series championship in Omaha. 

Pat Demarco homered for the Commodores. Stephen Scott drove in two Vandy runs, bringing his RBI total to 61. 

Mason Hickman allowed one run and struck out 10 in six innings to pick up the win.

Vandy won the last two games of the best-of-three series after losing 7-4 on Monday.  The Commodores defeated Louisville Friday night to advance to the championship series.

Blake Nelson and Jordan Brewer drove in the Wolverines' runs. 

Vanderbilt won its second national championship in six years.
