Fatal Oldham Co. Shooting Connected To Ohio Kidnapping

CRESTWOOD, Ky. -- A fatal officer-involved shooting in Kentucky is connected to an abduction out of Ohio.

Police started chasing a mini van after receiving a call of a distressed person on Monday.

The chase led them to Oldham County, where an officer allegedly heard a gunshot coming from the car.

That's when the officer fired shots, fatally hitting 24-year-old Ty'rell Pounds.

A woman, 20-year-old Skylar Williams, was rushed to a hospital where she later died from her injuries.

Kentucky State Police confirm Pounds was wanted for allegedly kidnapping Williams in Ohio.
