Work On Louisville City FC Stadium Moving Forward

LOUISVILLE, Ky. -- Work on Louisville City FC's new home is moving forward.

After months of site prep, the team has selected the partnership of Messer Construction and Harmon Construction to build the new $63 million Butchertown stadium in time for the start of the 2020 season.

Both companies have strong ties to the city as Messer's last project was the expansion at Cardinal Stadium and Harmon's president is Billy Harmon who played basketball for U of L in the 70's.

Once completed, the stadium will seat 11,300 with 18 luxury suites and eight bars. The soccer only stadium will be the anchor for a planned 40 acre, $200 million development.
