Kroger Shooting Suspect Tried To Enter Church

(Jeffersontown, KY) - The congregation at First Baptist Church in Jeffersontown is counting its blessings after the deadly Kroger shooting.  

Minutes before Wednesday's shooting the alleged gunman tried to enter the church.  

The suspected shooter was seen on church surveillance trying to enter through multiple doors but they were locked.  

Church officials say an hour before there were about 70 people there for Wednesday afternoon services. 

Vigil Held To Remember Victims Of Deadly Jeffersontown Shooting
Jeffersontown is remembering the two people killed in the Kroger shooting.  

About 100 people gathered in the store's parking lot Thursday night for a candlelight vigil for 69-year-old Maurice Stallard and 67-year-old Vickie Jones.

Stallard and Jones were remembered as leaders in the community.  

Gregory Bush has been charged with murder and wanton endangerment.
