WASHINGTON -- Indiana Democratic Senator Joe Donnelly says he's a "no" vote on the Brett Kavanaugh confirmation.
Donnelly was considered a key swing vote. He comes from a red state and had been on the fence about Kavanaugh. He's also facing a tough re-election battle.
In a statement, Donnelly says the sexual assault allegations against Kavanaugh are disturbing and credible. He argues that the FBI should fully investigate the accusations.
Donnelly's challenger in the November election -- Republican Mike Braun -- calls Donnelly's decision "a grave mistake." Braun says it proves Donnelly is more concerned with standing with liberal Democrat leaders than standing for Hoosiers.
