CINCINNATI -- A Louisville woman wounded in Thursday's shooting at a Cincinnati bank building remains hospitalized in stable condition.
Whitney Austin is a senior product manager for digital lending at Fifth Third Bank. She had driven to Cincinnati for a meeting and was on a conference call as she walked into the Fifth Third Center lobby revolving doors, directly into the shooting. She was shot 12 times.
Her husband says Austin is in good spirits and is a fighter. She is especially grateful to the two police officers who rushed to her aid and carried her out of the line of fire after she was shot.
Austin is recovering at UC Medical Center.
