(LOUISVILLE, Ky) - An LMPD officer has been injured in a traffic accident.
It happened at about 5:30 Tuesday morning on Taylor Blvd at the I-264 interchange.
Preliminary investigation reveals that the driver of a northbound Taylor Blvd vehicle, was attempting to make a left turn from northbound Taylor Blvd onto westbound I-264 failed to yield the right of way. The vehicle struck the LMPD's officer cruiser, who was driving southbound on Taylor Blvd.
The officer was transported to University Hospital with minor injuries. The driver of the other vehicle was transported to Saints Mary& Elizabeth Hospital also with minor injuries.
