FRANKFORT, Ky. -- Kentucky's secretary of state is pregnant. Alison Lundergan Grimes says she and her husband Andrew are expecting a baby boy in December.
In a tweet, the secretary of state writes "The journey to grow our family has not been easy. We appreciate the outpouring of love and hold those struggling with infertility in our hearts. You are not alone."
Lundergan Grimes' announcement comes shortly after Kentucky State Treasurer Allison Ball gave birth to a baby boy, becoming the state's first constitutional officer to give birth while in office.
