LOUISVILLE, Ky -- Ford Motor Company primed to pump another $25 million into the Kentucky Truck Plant. The infusion of money will be spent to help solve production problems in a more efficient manner including the use more advanced robotics and a 3-D printer to help identify issues.
The company making the investment because production targets for both the Lincoln Navigator and Ford Expedition are up 25%. The total investment by Ford at the Truck plant now exceeds $925 million. While the company doesn't expect to hire additional workers for the workload, it does add a measure of job security for the plant and also the possibility of more overtime.
