LMPD: Man On Home Incarceration Responsible For Homicide

LOUISVILLE, Ky. -- LMPD says a man believed to be on home incarceration is responsible for the city's latest homicide.

The call of a shooting came in a little after 1:00 Monday morning in the 800 block of South 23rd Street.

Officers arrived to find a man shot dead on the sidewalk, the result of what LMPD spokesman Vadim Dale described as "an altercation of some kind."

Dale says they believe the suspect was on home incarceration but are not saying if a monitoring bracelet has been found.

Dale says the suspect fled the scene and is still at large.

This is Louisville's 86th homicide of the year.
