LOUISVILLE, Ky. -- University of Louisville basketball coach Rick Pitino says he's "shocked" to hear his school is involved in a national college basketball scandal.---

Shortly after U of L president Greg Postel admitted the school was involved in the bribery scandal, Pitino released a statement saying "These allegations come as a complete shock to me."
The coach goes on to say that if the allegations are true, he agrees that the "third party schemes, initiated by a few bad actors operated to commit a fraud."
Pitino ends his statement by saying "our fans and supporters deserve better and I am committed to taking whatever steps are needed to ensure those responsible are held accountable."
