LOUISVILLE, Ky. -- Police make an arrest in the murder of a 7-year-old Louisville boy who was shot by a stray bullet.
23-year-old Wyatt Williams is accused in the death of Dequante Hobbs, who was shot while sitting in his family's kitchen on West Madison Street in May.
Police say Williams fired his gun in a dispute during a dice game.
Lt. Emily McKinley says Williams was a suspect early in the investigation, but they were not able to charge him at that time. Williams was on home incarceration for other charges when he was arrested Wednesday.
Dequante Hobbs would have entered the 2nd grade this week.
