LOUISVILLE, Ky. -- Louisville's newest high-rise has reached its final height.
The Omni Hotel and Resort has topped out at 30 stories, rising above the skyline along Second Street. Work on the 14 floor 600 room hotel topped with 16 floors of condos is ahead of schedule and the tower will be open for business a month early on March 6, 2018.
Inside the tower, many of the hotel rooms are already complete with work continuing on the lobby and restaurants on the first floor.
Omni officials say they've already booked 82,000 room nights through 2023 but still have some limited availability for the upcoming Derby season.
