LEXINGTON, Ky. -- Video surveillance shows fugitive Kentucky attorney Eric Conn fled to New Mexico last month.
Conn has been missing since early June, when he admitted to a massive social security fraud scheme.
The FBI says it discovered that Conn fled using a truck owned and registered by a co-conspirator to a dummy company in Montana. The FBI traced the truck to where it was abandoned in New Mexico.
Along the way, Conn stopped at a gas station and a Walmart in New Mexico, where he was captured on video surveillance.
The FBI says there is no indication that Conn crossed the border into Mexico.
On Friday, a federal judge sentenced Conn in absentia to 12 years in prison for defrauding the U.S. government of over a half billion dollars. Conn was also ordered to pay almost $170,000,000 in restitution, a $50,000 fine and a forfeiture judgment of $5,750,404.
There is a reward of $20,000 for any information that leads to Conn's location and arrest.
