FBI Says Fugitive Kentucky Lawyer Still In Country

LOUISVILLE, Ky. - The FBI in Louisville believes a fugitive eastern Kentucky attorney is still in the United States.

Former disability attorney Eric Conn pleaded guilty in March to stealing from the federal government and bribing a judge. He was supposed to be sentenced next month, but he cut off his ankle bracelet on June 2 and took off.

FBI and state police troopers spent hours Thursday at Conn’s law office and his mother's house in in Floyd County. Investigators spent time focused on a vehicle parked outside his mother's house.

The FBI said charges could be coming for Conn's associates and family members as the search for him continues.

The FBI says Conn or someone purporting to be Conn has been using social media and emails.

A $20,000 reward is now being offered for information leading to his arrest.
