$2,000 Reward Being Offered in Case of Kitten Shot with BB Gun

LOUISVILLE, Ky. - A $2,000 reward is being offered for information about a kitten found shot with a BB gun last week.

Last Wednesday, an injured stray kitten was found in the Polo Fields Neighborhood in east Louisville. 

"Ziggy" had two BB pellets embedded in her body.The kitten had a BB pellet lodged in her head and in her front leg.  A wound on her back leg was filled with maggots.

After surgery, Ziggy is recovering and doing well at Kentucky Humane Society.

Louisville Metro Animal Services is investigating.  LMAS is asking the public to come forward with any information by calling the police tipline 574-LMPD.

If no arrest is made in six months, the reward will become a donation to needy shelter animals.
