LOUISVILLE, Ky -- A plea for help from LMPD's lead investigators in the shooting death of seven year old Dequante Hobbs. Dequante died of a gunshot wound to the head while at the kitchen table of his home in the Russell neighborhood.
The stray bullet is believed to have come from a shot fired at a dice game outside a nearby house LMPD is pleading for anyone with information about the shooting to come forward, saying this is a shooting that the whole community must take ownership.
LMPD is already stretched thin with rising homicide and violence rates, but are devoting a great deal of resources to this case.
