Millions of viewers are anxiously waiting for April to give birth at the Animal Adventure Park in New York. Her every movement is being shown live on the internet.
Louisville Zoo curator Michael Jones says the birth will happen fast, beginning with a foot protruding from the mother.
Giraffes give birth standing up. The calf will drop several feet to the ground.
Calves are usually about six feet tall and weigh 150 pounds at birth.
