LOUISVILLE, Ky. -- Louisville's corrections director is giving us a look at conditions inside his overcrowded jail.
Director Mark Bolton invited NewsRadio 840 WHAS into the jail to see what his officers are facing each day.Bolton is under criticism for a recent rash of inmate drug overdoses and other issues that he blames on overcrowding.
There are more than 2,200 inmates at Metro Corrections this week, but only 1,800 beds.
