LOUISVILLE, Ky. -- The Thunder is coming back to Thunder Over Louisville.
For the first time since 2010, the B-2 Stealth Bomber will make an appearance in the air show joined for the first time by the F-35 Lightning II Stealth Fighter.
Show producer Wayne Hettinger says they will also have an F-86 jet fighter in honor of the 70th anniversary of the Kentucky Air National Guard. The F-86 is what the unit flew before the C-130.
He says there will also be F-18 and F-16 fighter jets along with the Golden Knights Parachute team and several civilian acts.
Hettinger says the acts are able to use their appearance at Thunder to meet their required monthly flight training hours.
