FRANKFORT, Ky. -- Kentucky's bourbon industry shows no sign of slowing down.
A new study finds the state's signature spirit increased its economic output by $1 billion in the last two years. Kentucky bourbon now pours $8.5 billion each year into the state's economy.
The study, conducted by the University of Louisville, shows the industry generates more than 17,000 jobs with an annual payroll of $800 million.
