LOUISVILLE, Ky. -- A shooting that landed a teen and a young girl in the hospital last week is now a homicide.
The shooting happened last Friday in the California neighborhood. An 18-year-old man was found suffering a gunshot wound. He died Monday morning from his injuries.
Police also found a 5-year-old girl who was hit in the chest by a stray bullet. She's recovering at Kosair Children's hospital and is expected to survive.
Homicide Lt. Emily McKinley says they're searching for 'multiple' suspects who may have fired shots.
She says there were several witnesses that she's hoping will come forward with information.
