RedBull Global RallyCross To Make Louisville Stop

LOUISVILLE, Ky. -- Ring Road is about to become a race course.

The Red Bull Global Rallycross is coming to Louisville for the first time with an event scheduled for the Kentucky Expo Center May 21. A release from the organization describes the RallyCross as small production-based cars producing 600 horsepower, going from 0-60 in under two seconds and racing on dirt and asphalt. The cars also get some air time with the release saying fans can expect to see the cars make jumps of up to 70 feet.

The roster of drivers includes former NASCAR and Formula One driver Scott Speed and Supercar champion Tanner Foust.

The event website does not say when tickets go on sale.
