(Louisville, KY) - Another inmate has died at the Louisville Metro Department of Corrections.
Authorities report the latest incident happened Sunday morning when a 66-year-old inmate was found unresponsive in a medical housing unit. He was transported to University hospital, where he was pronounced dead.
Investigators say he had been moved to the medical floor after he was booked into jail on January 5th on charges of criminal trespassing and possession of drug paraphernalia. His name hasn't been released and there's no word on a cause of death.
This comes after two inmates died within a week last month at the Metro Department of Corrections.
