State Representative Jason Nemes is a co-sponsor of a bill to force an actual person to post bail for people charged with serious offenses. It would not allow group funds to post bail for anyone. Representative Nemes did specific that the definition of "serious offenses" are being determined, but a case like the attempted murder of Craig Greenberg by Quintez Brown would qualify and Brown would not have been allowed to leave jail without an actual person posting the bail...
