Councilman Dan Johnson returns

Councilman Dan Johnson said he will not resign from the Metro Council. He talked about his plan to be a councilman until the end of his current term (2018) and his belief that the storm has passed and the council should be focused on other things. He also said that he sent personal notes to each councilman apologizing for the controversy and his desire to move forward.

In the second segment, Councilman Johnson says that he does not think he will be forced to leave the Metro Council. He also discussed the new sexual harassment policy proposed by the Council, what is involved in the policy, and that he is a co-sponsor of it.

As far as the possibility of future court proceedings as a result of Councilwoman Green’s accusations, Councilman Johnson said that he will participate in those proceedings although he hoped to avoid them because he “has been beaten up enough” and that the taxpayers would be responsible for the cost.

Lastly, Councilman Johnson talked about a head injury that he incurred when he was younger, its possible impact on his mental state, and the possible use of it as a defense in the future.
