This election cycle’s DNC likely won’t feature any of the traditional hallmarks of a political convention: no crowds of cheering political operatives, no Macarena dance parties à la the ’96 DNC, and no balloons either! The convention is a virtual affair this year, due to the coronavirus pandemic. But there is one thing that’ll carryover from conventions of the past- lots of speeches!
