“An Act of War” that’s how Secretary of State Mike Pompeo described a weekend attack by Iran on two Saudi Arabian oil facilities. Now President Trump is ordering the US Treasury to “substantially increase sanctions” on Iran – but he stopped short of approving a military response. Mr. Trump’s orders followed confirmation by US investigators Iran was behind Saturday’s attack. CBS News has learned the attack was approved at the highest level; by Iran’s supreme leader, Ayatolla Khamanei. Despite the evidence, including satellite photos, Iran still insists it was not involved. CBS News Military Analyst Mike Lyons joins Tony with some perspective on a possible response.

The strike against General Motors by the United Auto Workers is entering into its fourth day as more than 30 GM factories came to a screeching halt. GM has put more than a thousand workers on layoff at a Canadian factory that makes The Silverado – the company’s top-selling vehicle in the US. Some progress at the bargaining table was reported, but committees are still stuck on major issues like wages and health insurance costs. More than 49,000 workers walked off their jobs on Monday in a dispute over the union's quest to get a bigger share of GM's profits and the company's goal of cutting labor costs. CBS News Auto Analyst with WWJ Radio in Detroit checks in with Tony and breaks down whats in play.
