Weight Watchers is facing growing backlash from parents after launching a weight loss app for children. Tens of thousands have signed a Change.org petition calling the decision “dangerous, irresponsible and immoral” and suggested that the app could encourage eating disorders. In a press release announcing “Kurbo by WW,” the company said the app is a “a scientifically-proven behavior change program designed to help kids and teens ages 8-17 reach a healthier weight, derived from Stanford University's Pediatric Weight Control Program. ABC's Cheri Preston joins Joe with the latest.
