Nerves are rattled in Southern California after a 7.1 magnitude earthquake shook the region, a mere day after Thursday’s 6.4 magnitude quake. Friday night’s quake was felt through much of the Southwest, from Northern California to Las Vegas. In Los Angeles, strong shaking sent movie-goers streaming out of theaters and restaurant customers taking cover. Closer to the epicenter in Ridgecrest and Trona, people said it felt like an “atom bomb” went off. ABC’s Alex Stone spent the weekend in Ridgecrest and joins Tony with the latest.
