Twitter on Thursday said it deleted thousands of “malicious” accounts from Iran, Russia, Venezuela and Bangladesh. The social media company also released information about “attempted voter suppression” on the platform related to the 2018 U.S. midterm elections. Almost simultaneously, Facebook announced it removed 783 pages, groups and accounts for “inauthentic behavior” that was directed by Iran. ABC's Cheri Preston has been following and breaks it down with Tony.
