Miraculously, everyone survived Air Mexico Flight 2431 that crashed shortly after take off recently.  The footage of that flight was captured from the inside by passenger Ashley Garcia.  Today's "Video of the Day"

Japan’s government is proposing that companies give employees at least one Monday morning off a month as part of an effort to improve work-life balance. The plan, called “Shining Monday,” follows last year’s introduction of “Premium Friday” where companies were encouraged to allow staff to leave work early on the last Friday of every month. Japan’s Ministry of Economy has been trying to address the country’s problem of death by overwork or “karoshi.”

The Labor Department reported that the economy added 157,000 jobs in July, a bit lower than the expected 190,000. But with the upward revision of 59,000 to the two previous months, this year’s average monthly job creation is 215,000 -- that’s ahead of last year’s 184,000 per month and better than the 2016 - 2017 pace of about 185,000.  Should you be looking for a new gig?
