The Syria watch continues, as the rhetoric continues to escalate, but are we walking back a bit?  Israel has its forces on alert after Iran said it will respond to an Israeli missile strike on a Syrian airbase this week.  NBC News Radio’s Bill Zimpfer will bring you the latest developments.  

 

Russian president Vladimir Putin and Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu spoke on the phone Wednesday and the topic of conversation was reportedly Syria, specifically the recent missile strikes by the Israeli air force on the T4 airbase in the province of Homs. Putin stressed the importance of observing Syria's sovereignty while Netanyahu reiterated that Israel would not allow for Iranian military buildup in Syria.

 

A lot of action in Washington with Mark Zuckerberg continuing his testimony, the announced retirement of House Speaker Ryan and the latest on President Trump and the Russia investigation.  NBC News Radio’s Michael Bower is covering all of what is happening inside the Beltway.
