As the California wildfires continue to rage, check this homeowner who stepped outside to see this!   It's today's "Video of the Day"

A big week on tap in Washington as Congress is putting full effort into tax reform.  Meanwhile President Trump calls for a Washington Post reporter to be fired over a misleading tweet – and it is the final day of campaigning in the Alabama Senate race featuring Roy Moore and Doug Jones.

Firefighters are working around the clock in Southern California as the Thomas fire, the largest of the six wildfires burning, spread to 173,000 acres Sunday morning, prompting new evacuations in parts of Carpinteria and Montecito. The fire is just 15 percent contained, according to the California Department of Forestry and Fire Protection. Red flag warnings have remained in effect for the fire-ravaged areas with peak wind gusts of 30 to 50 miles per hour.  ABC's Alex Stone is on the scene and breaks it down with Tony.

Republican Roy Moore has kept a low profile for days while allegations that he had inappropriate relationships with underage girls as far back as the 1970’s have hung over his campaign. He has the support of President Donald Trump (who recorded a robo call for him) and many of the polls show a tight race, but Alabama’s senior senator, Richard Shelby, says the GOP can “do better” than the conservative judge.  ABC's Jim Ryan is in Alabama and joins Tony.
