Valentine's day is closing in....need some inspiration for that play list? Admittedly not everyone's cup of tea, but try these on for size and see if that gets the creative juices flowing!
#10 - "More Than Words" - Extreme Perhaps the ultimate love ballad that admit, you caught yourself signing along in the car with the windows rolled up (until you rolled up on a stop light).
#9 - "Feeling That Way" - Journey Ahhhhh, remember the days when all you had to worry about was if she liked you as much as you did her?
#8 - "The Deeper the Love" - Whitesnake If there's one video that screams Valentine's day this is it. So much red.....(so much Tawny).
#7 - "I'll Never Let You Go" - Steelhart Seriously, who didn't put this on a mix tape at some point in high school? The epitome of power ballad
#6 - "Your Song" - Elton John "I know it's not much, but it's the best I can do. My gift is my song and this one's for you" Jewelry, flowers, cards, you can have 'em....nothing stirs up emotion more than music...trumps everything.
#5 - "You're in My Heart" - Rod Stewart "You'll be my breath should I grow old. You are my lover, you're my best friend, You're in my soul"
#4 - "Just Between You and Me" - April Wine Grab your quarter length concert T and flash back to the early 80's. They say that French is the language of love and leave to to these Canadian rockers to wax poetic "Seulement entre toi et moiMeans that our love will always be" Classic rockers with a classic power ballad.
#3 - "Just the Way You Are" - Billy Joel "I don't want clever conversation, I never want to work that hard. I just want someone that I can talk to, I want you just the way you are"
#2 - "Still Loving You" - Thin LizzyAdmittedly, not a feel good fluffy love song, but then again neither is life. Irish rocker Phil Lynott left us way too early, but had one of THE best rock/blues voices and still does to this day.
#1 - "I'm Gonna Crawl" - Led Zeppelin What more needs to be said?! If there ever was a Valentine's ballad, this is it.
I've been told all my taste is in my mouth, so these may or may not work for you. Either way, hope you have a great Valentine's day!
