LOUISVILLE, Ky. -- Louisville Metro Police will have a significant presence along Bardstown Road in the Highlands this weekend.
That's the message Mayor Craig Greenberg and LMPD officials gave to business owners and residents in a meeting on Thursday.
Street takeovers have occurred over the past two weekends on Bardstown Road near the Grinstead Drive area. Crowds blocked streets, climbed on cars and engaged in fights. Police arrested three people last weekend.
Greenberg says, along with an increased police presence, they discussed the need for long term solutions to prevent the unrest.
