(Frankfort, KY) - All of Kentucky's constitutional officers are being sued by Governor Andy Beshear.
Beshear filed suit Thursday against Attorney General Daniel Cameron, Secretary of State Michael Adams, State Treasurer Alison Ball, State Auditor Mike Harmon, and Agriculture Commissioner Ryan Quarles.
Beshear is challenging House Bill 334, which would remove current members of the executive branch from the ethics commission. The governor vetoed the bill, but was overridden.
He calls the measure a Republican power grab and unconstitutional, while Republicans say it is a bipartisan effort at election reform. All those being sued are Republicans.
