(Nashville, TN) - Senator Rand Paul is celebrating the lift of the mask mandate for public transportation.
He told reporters it was a happy day before his first flight without a mask since the start of COVID. The Kentucky Republican has never been a fan of wearing masks and has argued they were never effective.
A judge ruled last week that the mandate was improper and the statute the CDC used did not give them the power implement it. The Justice Department is appealing that decision.
