(Frankfort, KY) - Kentucky men's basketball coach John Calipari is sharing his views on a new bill regarding name, image, and likeness rules for college athletes.
Calipari testified before Kentucky lawmakers Wednesday, calling the proposed bipartisan bill model legislation.
The bill would solidify rules surrounding the issue that were established in the commonwealth by an executive order signed last June by Governor Andy Beshear.
Many Kentucky athletes have been able to create a brand of themselves since the Supreme Court ruled for the NCAA to change its rules regarding college athletes' ability to profit from their name, image, and likeness.
