Kentucky Senate Proposing Significant Changes To Legislative Map

(Frankfort, KY) - The Kentucky Senate is proposing significant changes to the commonwealth's legislative map.

The Senate released its redistricting plan Tuesday which included growth in the Fifth and Sixth Congressional districts, splitting Bath County between the two.  The First Congressional District would also see its borders shift.

The redrawn Senate districts showed a seven way split of Lexington, and shrinking urban district boundaries.  No incumbents in the new Senate map would have to run against each other.
