Gov. Beshear Says New COVID-19 Cases Dropping Quickly

(Frankfort, KY) - Governor Andy Beshear says the number of new COVID-19 cases in Kentucky is dropping rapidly. 

Beshear announced over 540 new cases Monday, along with 23 additional deaths.

COVID-related hospitalizations have decreased 20% over the last week. 91.6% of people hospitalized with COVID-19 are unvaccinated.  Kentucky's COVID-19 positivity rate is now below 6%. 

Over 736,000 Kentuckians have tested positive for the virus and more than 96-hundred have died since the pandemic began.
