(Washington, DC) - President Biden says Americans are divided about vaccines as a pandemic of the unvaccinated sweeps across the U.S.
Speaking at the White House, Biden said vaccines are safe and highly effective, adding there's "nothing political about them." Biden said vaccines were approved under a Republican administration and distributed under a Democratic one.
The President said this is not about red states or blue states; rather, it's about life and death. He commended Senate Republican Leader Mitch McConnell and Alabama Governor Kay Ivey for not making it political.
